Highland Chateau Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full-time Dietary Director to join the team! The role of an LTC Dietary Manager is to manage the dietary department and ensure that the residents are receiving appropriate nutrition and food services. The dietary manager is responsible for creating menus that meet the dietary needs of the residents, managing the food service staff, ordering food and supplies, and maintaining the dietary department's budget.

 

Responsibilities of the Dietary Director:

  • Developing and implementing daily menus that meet the nutritional needs of the residents and comply with any special dietary requirements or restrictions.
  • Planning and coordinating food service operations, including ordering food and supplies, managing inventory, and overseeing food preparation.
  • Hiring, training, and supervising food service staff, including cooks and dietary aides.
  • Creating a schedule to assist dietary staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards, including sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Managing the dietary department's budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborating with other departments and staff members, such as nursing and rehabilitation staff, to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care.

Qualifications & Skills of the Dietary Director:

  • LTC and dietary experience
  • High School diploma or GED
