Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is recruiting for an evening shift RN/LPN candidate to become a part of our team!

LPN salary $23.59-30.65/hour
RN salary $30-34/hour

Responsibilities of The Registered Nurse (RN) include but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct care to patients.
  • Assessing the resident's health status, performing physical examinations, and monitoring vital signs
  • Administering medications, starting intravenous (IV) lines, dressing wounds, and assisting with various medical procedures.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, documenting the patient's medical history, symptoms, treatments, and progress.
  • Ensuring that all documentation adheres to legal and ethical standards
  • Educating patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  • Providing information on medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Acting as patient advocate during that the patient's rights and preferences are respected.
  • Monitoring patients' conditions, noting any changes or abnormalities. As well as evaluating the effectiveness of treatments and interventions and modifying care plans as necessary.
  • Supervising CNAs

Qualifications & Skills of Registered Nurse:

  • Must have completed an accredited nursing program
  • Must obtain an associate degree in nursing (ADN), or a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)
  • Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must pay close attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Must demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a caring attitude.
  • Must be proficient in using medical equipment and technology relevant to the area of practice.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, adapt to changing circumstances and handle stressful situations
  • Must stay updated with advancements in healthcare, attending continuing education programs, and seeking professional development opportunities are important to enhance skills and provide evidence-based care

Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) include but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct patient care and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Performing basic nursing assessments to collect patient data and monitor their condition.
  • Administering medications, including oral, topical, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs and providing wound care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Working as part of a healthcare team and collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as RNs, physicians, and other support staff.
  • Providing basic health education and instructions to patients and their families.
  • Performing basic medical procedures, such as administering injections, starting intravenous (IV) lines, collecting laboratory specimens, and conducting simple laboratory tests (depending on state regulations).
  • Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Supervising CNAs

Qualifications & Skills of Licensed Practical Nurse:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of a state-approved practical nursing program
  • Current nursing license by the Minnesota Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
  • Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, patients, families, and professional/regulatory agents
  • CPR certified
  • Long-term care experience preferred
